Lynn Johnston is the Vice President of Business Development of Interstate Waste Services and is responsible for executing the company development and growth plan, inputting into the company growth strategy and its implementation. Lynn has been with IWS since 2008.

Mr. Johnston spent the previous 15 years of his career with American Ref-Fuel Company, a waste to energy company, in various executive positions including Vice President of Operations and Business Development. He has been involved in various leadership positions in the waste industry for some 25 years.

Lynn received both his B.S. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maine. Additionally he has gone back to school and gotten an M.S. degree in Chemistry and Education from SUNY Stonybrook on Long Island.

Lynn is a strong believer in the value of teamwork throughout the company organization and ensuring collaboration to obtain the best answers to practical and business problems that may be facing an organization. He has been active in various professional organizations that promote technology and the waste industry.
