Jerry Crofford serves as the Vice President of Human Resources for Interstate Waste Services with over 25 years experience in human resources and operations management positions.  Prior to joining IWS, Mr. Crofford was the Director of Talent Management for American Water, the largest publicly traded water utility in the U.S.  He is no stranger to the waste business because he spent nine years in the energy-from-waste field as a regional human resource manager for American Ref-Fuel and a subsequent three years with Covanta Energy as a Director of Human Resources after they acquired Ref-Fuel.  Mr. Crofford also spent ten years at Air Products and Chemicals in a variety of management positions.

Mr. Crofford received a BSS degree in corporate management from Ohio University.  He is a long-time member of the Society of Human Resource Managers (SHRM) and earned certifications as a Human Capital Strategist and as a Strategic Workforce Planner from the Human Capital Institute.

Jerry and his wife raised four children and are happy that all graduated from college.  In his spare time, Jerry enjoys travel with his wife (usually to visit the kids and grandchildren), golf, and keeping up with his favorite sports teams, with the Cleveland Browns topping his list.
